It looks like we're going to have some good weather Friday night... come out to Northstar Dragway this Friday and see what you can get your car to do in some good air.

Never ran a car at a drag strip? No big deal, we all are newbies at some point, and this "not-so-old guy" is willing to help out a new guy or gal with the few tips and pointers I have.

Northstar is located north of Denton off of 35, a few miles north of 380. If you're heading north take exit 474 (Cowling Rd) and stay on the access road (dodge a few pot holes), it will U turn under 35 and head south. The entrance is the first right turn after the U turn, it's almost immediately after the U turn.

It's $10 to watch, and a total of $15 to race.

Friday night is there Test&Tune/Fun&Grudge racing. They will have the "Factory Rubber Shootout" class also (OEM style tires, 2wd only) Friday night if you want to try to win a trophy (I'm not sure if they will have a pay out).

Gates open at 6pm, the track will open for runs at 7pm and run until 12am (or there abouts).

need a good set of rear tires so I can finally HOOK! Sounds fun! man I miss the track :(

Some very fast cars and bikes sound like they are going to be out to see and hear...

It seems like almost every date on the calender revolves around some event at northstar. Do you have to call and see when the Test and tune nights are?

Most Fridays are test and tune. Check the schedule for special events.
