Well I got my little 6 speed R/T out to the track again (2 days in a row). Managed to eek out an 8.332 @ 83.92, 60' 1.827 DA was 914 ft. Best 60' of the night was 1.818. No 8.2x's on tap with the DA tonight.

Tonight's runs were minus the seats (passenger and rear seats) and with just over 1/4 tank. M&H DR's at 18 psi.

LOL. Yeah, the rumor is the 60' out there is just over 61'.

Looking over the data from the runs, it looks like the seats out (forgot to remove the trunk floor and the foam box underneath) was worth about 0.05 seconds and 0.2 mph (though I set a record of 84.27, +1 mph, on 10/14 with poor traction).

Car ET seems consistent...
9.23 (3rd wouldn't engage so I just went to 4th and motored on down the track).
8.40 (no cool down, hot lapped after the 9.23)
8.35
8.33

60':
1.842
1.825
1.818
1.827

The clutch isn't happy again, those launches are definitely harder on it.

The question remains.............is it worth all the work to pull the interior out for that .05 on a street car? What's next poly windows and remove the guts out of the doors? And then the carpet and headliner, not to mention the stereo and all the a/c.............lol

I don't think it was worth the effort. I was curious to see what the difference was and if I could get a 8.2x. It's not that hard to remove the seats, and doesn't take too long. Not to mention it's noisier (fuel pump and road noise).

Better DA has more benefit.
