Big Mike got hit...

Some idiot ran into me this morning on the way to work and did a little number on my car. :Racing: He decided to hop out of the damn HOV lane after he realized he only had one passenger and side swiped the whole left side of my car. :doh: I made the guy stay there :nunu: until I called his insurance agent, filed a claim with his insurance company, they assigned me an adjuster, we both gave our statements to the adjuster, his insurance company accepted responsibility for the liability of the accident, they arranged for my car to be dropped off at Allen Samuels first thing Monday morning for repairs, and they arranged for my rental car to be ready when I get there. The accident happened at 7:15am this morning, and I accomplished all this and got everything taken care of by 8:30am. I didn't waste any time and I wanted to make sure all his insurance was legit while he was still there at the scene of the accident with me. So now all I have to do is wait til Monday to get my baby back in shape! :w00t:

oh yea, I almost forgot.... despite everything that happened I still managed to give a DFW LX CLUB card to a potential member that stopped to see if everything was ok. I couldn't resist. I was talking to him while the insurance company had me on hold. :gr_grin:

yep, hopefully it will be all back in order by next weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed! He had state farm insurance and they didn't give me any trouble. They allowed me to do in 1-1/2 hour what normally takes about three days as far as getting assianed an adjuster and getting everything set up witht he repair shop. Just so happen that Allen Samuels Dodge is one of their authorized repair body shops!!!!

the guy that hit me was driving a 1999 Toyata Camry. Time he hit me his side mirror flew off and into the freeway almost causing another accident. It took him a minute two to get out of his car because I had my angry black man face on and was throwing out a nice array of swear words.

As far as the club card, sometimes you have to take advantage of the situation.

Believe me, I was PISSED.... but what can you do. I'm trying to get wiser as I get older. Too many people driving by on the freeway to give the guy a beat down :kap: I would have been arrested for real! Then me and my car would have been in bad shape. I was more concerned to get my car taken car of and make sure this guy didn't try to give me the run around with his insurance.

At least now I know who to call if I ever need backup... thanks bro!

now that I've gotten it home, I think you are right. It's not as bad as I originally thought. Maybe because I was just pissed off this morning when it happened. I think it can be buffed out all except for the big dent that is in the rear driver door. It goes back to the dealership first thing monday, so we will see what they do about it.

almost once a week around Fort Worth I have to do stunt driving to get out of the way of some asshat that just veers at me without looking ... and I get speeding tickets ... where are the frigging cops giving out reckless endangerment, failure to keep right, failure to maintain speed, failure to signal lane changes ... the frigging list goes on and on and on and every one of these infractions is on the books and SHOULD BE ENFORCED!!! The radar gun has become the "cop crack-pipe" and they can't put it down long enough to get REALLY dangerous drivers to wake up!

I can't tell you how many times I hope my radar detector DOESN'T go off because if I hit my brakes the dickwad in the duellie with the push bar who is 3 feet off my ass at 75mph is just gonna drill me through the frigging guard rail ... you weigh 7,000 lbs jerkoff!!! You can't POSSIBLY stop as fast as I can ... and if you think you're gonna go 80 if I move over guess again STUPID! Do you not see the frigging car only 100 feet in front of ME???!! And then the one in front of him and the one in front of him .... My next mod is twin 50 CAL machine guns mounted on the hood, the tracers will be an extra bonus at night ... and the James Bond oil-slick out the back for Duellie-Boy ....

True, I took a close look at them and you are right, some are actually down to the metal and will have to be repainted but others can be buffed out. Hopefully this is my one and only little crash test I have to experience in this car.

I finally got my car back today from Allen Samuels around 4:30 all demolded and debadged!!! :Banana01: But I'm taking it back FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING!!! :po: I got home all excited and decided to clean it up and noticed that the doors are not aligned and they did not buff the areas too good where they removed the molding and badges from the sides. I will call them in the morning and RAISE A LITTLE HELL :FIREdevil: and drop it of to them again on Monday to let them fix it. I'm almost embarrassed to bring it out to the M&G tommorow.
