I made it out to Texas Raceway Sunday to participate in the Texas Musclecar Challenge. Was kinda surprised to be the only DFWLX person on the property. I was welcomed with open arms by the Cowtown Mopar guys. They invited me to have lunch with them and continually asked "Why don't any of the others from the group show up?" I didn't know what to tell them. It was a well run race and it is local. Lots of older muscle cars plus plenty of new ones as well. I had alot of fun even though I lost second round. Randy was still in in his Ram when I left. It would be cool to see some club members show up for some of these even if they don't want to race. I know it's not a car show but.......................I had to do it, could help myself.

I知 glad to hear you had a good time Jorge. I知 a member of the Cowtown Mopars too. Unfortunately I was out of town on Sunday or I would have been there with you. David raced for rival Dallas Mopars last year and I値l bet you値l see him at some of the events this season. I plan to be at the Ennis race March 27. I hope see you there.

I was really hoping I'd have the energy to get over there Sunday but I had to work until 6am. By noon I couldn't stay awake anymore and just crashed. 2 more weeks and I'm off night shift forever. I can't wait. So tired of missing fun stuff because of a nasty work schedule.

Good time, glad you were able to make it out.
Always nice to see more LX/LC's guys out there.
And making it to 2nd round is further than half the racers did...
Congratualtions!

The word from our race team coordinator:

TMCCC Results...03-13-2011

THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT KENNEDALE THAT CMPT LIKES!!!!!

Thinking back to May 23, 2010 we won 13 and the other 11 awards went to the 20 or so other clubs.
WOW what a day that was.
Today March 13, 2011 we won 13 and the other 12 awards went to the other 20 or so clubs racing today.
I told several people that we had 40 racers.
I believe the correct count is 37 racers. The total number of racers today was 146.
Simple math tells me that 25% of the racers run with Cowtown Mopars and 52% of the awards were won by Cowtown Mopars.
I'm not trying to bore you with numbers, but I am trying to make the point that we had a GOOD DAY!
I asked the question in the most recent newsletter if you were ready to race.
After today I will take that as a YES!!!!!!
