I was talking to a friend at work and he told me about the Texas Mile. Basically you have a mile to top out your car and I wanted to see if we could make this an event. I know some of you out there have force induction and really want to see what it can do. I really want to know what I can do in 1 whole mile from a stop.
Dates: 21-23 Oct (if the world doesn't end this time, witch I doubt because my Birthday is on the 24th)
Below is the link for it.

P.S. you get a sweet certificate after you complete it.

Don't think I'll take the 300, but maybe the Pony will be ready by then! Sounds like a great time!

You need to check the web site, you can't just show up and run. You need to send in an application, and then get in line for approval. I know several guys that do this twice a year. There is always a waiting list for these events.

One of these days im going to hit this event up.. But gonna wait until im 100% complete performance wise.. Its a good chunk of change to go out there and not have some kind of good results..

Problem with 'juice' is it puts you in another category with stricter safety requirements than the NA cars. Full roll cage for starters.
Looking at the records the only 300 SRT to run didn't even break 150. Looks like a driver with a high fear factor and a light foot. Would love to go out and do this some day but like others would like to have some more engine mods done first. I'd like to take it right up to the speed limiter of the predator which I believe is 192.

Interesting, I'm fairly sure that Nathan ran his Magnum SRT-8 at the Texas Mile and he hit well over 150.
Updated: Yes, he hit 160

You guys misunderstood my post. I know our cars are fast, I was talking about a particular 300C SRT8 that entered that topped out well below what many have reported as the cars top speed. Either he didn't have the pedal to the floor or he had a car full of passengers. LOL

Cool cool, I'd be interested and yeah I don't think the world will end in October. Oh yeah be careful, Ray Razorx posted something like doing 120mph and he was crucified for saying that, just an FYI bro since some people on here are a bit touchy.
