I'm thinking about getting a 2008 Charger this second time around, but i hate the big antennas above the rear window. Does anyone know of any mods to replace the antenna on the 08's? Is there a way to swap them out with something a little more subtle like the antennas on the 07's and 06's?

I believe there is a way to change it out with one of the 06-07 antennas, but it involves pulling down your headliner.

I'm not saying that i won't get the 08 because of the antenna. I'd just prefer my Charger to be without it. CamoCharger brought up the idea of the antenna possibly being able to be switched out.

When i looked up the 08's earlier today it says something about a Removable Short-Mast Antenna". I'm guessing that there's something i could do about it.

This is true. I've seen some "souped" up SE's for that much. That's a real deal SRT8.

The "whip" part of the antenna is removeable leaving just the little bump.

It just screws out - I cant tell a difference with or without it as far as reception.

I agree, that shouldnt look so bad.... Or just shave it off if you dont listen to the radion and just cd's/mp3's....
