I am going to sport tint film for now on the heads and tails.
Got mine in, and well frankly I have never installed this stuff.
Even considered taking it to a tinter and pay them labor to install.

Just curious if anyone in my area has ever put this stuff on before.
I got the ones laser cut specifically for the charger lights.

Its a bit late, but I highly reccommend against using the tint. It has been known in the past to cause the light housing to crack, and the bulbs to burn out prematurely due to overheating. I recommend using the GTS covers. They work great, and look sharp on the headlights.

hey TJay, my n-laws live in Plano and we usually go over on Sundays. Plus my tint tools, along with other tools, are over there. i could give you a hand if you would like.

one thing to keep in mind, i put headlight tint on and after awhile, my lenses started to get hair line cracks due to the heat no being able to escape. i was lucky enough to get them replace under warranty at Frank Parra, those guys rock. just giving you a heads up.

one more thing, your CAI is not in yet. i am hoping that it will come in tomarrow. i will be calling them in the a.m. anyways to check on the status

hmmm interesting, does it cause trouble on the tails too?
I guess I should just do the spray tint, just hated to do that and then find out the Plano cops would be stopping me every 500 yards.
Been toying with buying a spare set of heads and tails, night shade paint them then keep the others for hassle relief if needed, Inspection time and so on

I would be surprised if it makes it by tomorrow, nicely surprised but surprised non the less.
Looking forward to hearing your duels, that may be a good route for me.
I am guessing no one carries the GTS covers locally. I liked those for the front lights, but the covers for the back lights had a ridge to them I did not like at all.

The only problem with keeping a spare set of headlights for inspection is that it is a pain in the rear to change them.

The tails are easy though......

hey, man. I have NEVER been pulled over (knock on wood), for my tails being as dark as they are. I've had cops directly behind me at stoplights and following me for quite a while, until I switched lanes or somethin', but even when I was pulled over for speeding one day, he never mentioned my taillights (didn't even get a ticket ..... Ha-Ha!) they also pass inspection.

Yeah, I tried the tint. Did not like it
I think I am going to get someone to paint them. Just looks nicer

VHT Tint spray, 2-3 coats just don't over tint, they do serve a purpose :) May want to apply a clear coat afterwards as well... I've heard some people fine sanding them down afterwards as well so they are shiney and not so gritty looking.

I used VHT and put on 11 very light coats, so no drippage, and then 3 coats of clear. :D
