Anyone that we have done work for at SNL performance is welcome to attend the event for FREE. Come out and get unlimited passes with no waiting at north star.
Last time only 3 mopars showed up, Steve challenged me to get more for the next event.
That means we need to step up. Who is coming???

Maybe if you invite some non-customers out they will see the results of your work and become customers. Just a thought. Trying to help you out Sparky...lol

not trying to be a jerk by excluding people. We spent a couple thousand on the last event, even paid for all the food and drinks at the snack bar. It is not really fair for us to bear that expense for people who aren't even spending money at our shop.

Not implying that at all. Please don't take it that way. Just saying that since you only had a few show up last time it might be worth thinking about. Kind of an advertising kinda deal/thing/situation/deal. It's certainly not my money or my business.

Too late. But I guess you're in business to make money not friends. Some word of mouth marketing never hurts anyone.

I feel like I'm getting beat up here. I sell parts to club members at cost 95 percent of the time. I do tunes for club members at half the price of any shop in town. I just don't know what else is expected of me. It's not a customer appreciation event if we invite non-customers. Other than the food part it costs us the same. It's not about the money. I offer deals at slightly above cost and people still don't come in and get performance work done, what else can I do??

I don't believe that to be the case as far as it being about the money only who are the 2 guys every one turns to when something is wrong with their car it mostly brian and craig who are the ones who give a generous club discount when possible? I can say with the utmost certinty that brain really aint making bank by selling parts at cost its costing him a profit that he could be using for reinvesting in his company, pay raises for his employees, holiday bonuses so if you wanna say he is in it for the money only than I will go on record in saying you are wrong on this
at least sparky offered to pay his way in and for food just to support a club member who supports us with the best possible service
keep in mind i am not in any way trying to instagate an argument with my reply
on another note for brian = not sure if this qualifies me or not as a customer or a private sale but i am gonna ask at all tx last yr i bought a ported t.b from you if this qualifies me as a private sale its cool with me

I think i will side with Brian & SNL on this one ..
This was to say thank you there Patronage for what they have done and spent.
I would think if i spent 7 grand on a blower or cam, SC, I would love some one to say hey come on our dime to test your car.
Maybe SNL can setup another track day charge 15 bucks and you pay for food then run against other cars .. Humm sounds like a Friday Night never mind.

Wow! Brian offers great deals and service to DFWLX members. Now he is trying to reward those that have done business with him, and he's getting bashed for it? I guess I don't understand what the issue is. He's cutting deals, paying for the track, snacks, etc. and he's somehow a bad guy for it. I understand that certain subjects are a hot button issue but giving a guy grief for doing something nice for his customers makes no sense to me whatsoever.

I have to agree with Brian here, this is a CUSTOMER appreciation event. It's for his customers to show thanks for them buying from him instead of someone else since we have choices. It would be like Dodge giving free tunes for Dodge customers and Ford customers wanting a tune for free too... I'm not sure where the confusion comes in. His is not the first company to do this.

Sparky - this is a CUSTOMER APPRECIATION EVENT. It isnt open to the public and they dont want it open to the public. There are all kinds of laws, rules and regulations that they have to change if they open to the public and sell food. If you want to go, spend some money with SNL and you would then be welcome.
Ray... "too late"? Nothing Brian has said was rude or offensive. EVERYONE is in business to make money - its capitalism.
This event is for SNL customers to come out and have some fun at the track and show off what their hard-earned money has gotten them.
If you open it up to everyone - or even "everyone with performance mods" - then it potentially turns into "my shop is better than your shop" and it tends to kill some of the fun.
If you open the event to anyone then you are no longer having a "customer appreciation day" - you are hosting a night at the track, which is NOT the same thing. If you charge then you have insurance and IRS issues... if you serve or sell food then you have health department issues and permitting issues.
Word of mouth marketing is great - I dont think anyone would argue that - but this isnt about marketing. No part of this is marketing... this is all about saying "thank you" to existing customers.
I dont understand why yall are beating up Brian for posting an event for some of the members... I post specials for some members all the time and no one seems to have an issue with it.

Is there a certain dollar amount that has to be spent before you can attend this event? I ordered 2 custom tunes from Brian duirng one of his promotions. Does this qualify or is it only for the big spenders?
This would also be a great time to get my second tune done, or a ported throttle body since they are going for the same price now. Just asking......

This is for Snl performance customers only. People who have had work done at Snl performance in fort worth.
It doesn't matter if you spent $1 or $100,000

I believe this is for people who have actually had work done at the SNL shop. I purchased one of the first ported Mopar TBs' Brian did, but never had any work done at SNL. I don't really see a problem at all with his customer appreciation day. Brian has always been very helpful, easy to deal with and offers really good deals.
I don't understand peoples need to bust his balls over this one.

I dont see anything wrong with people who do business with him either. If you feel like you are being left out then purchase something from the company and join the band wagon.

Help me understand "work done at..."
The CAI I'm buying from SNL was built "at" SNL, though it's being shipped to me and I'll install it myself.
Does that qualify? I'd love to come out, but I completely understand if it's limited to folks who've pulled a car into a bay at SNL and had a tech work on it in some way.
That's the day after my last Saturday commitment elsewhere (for the entire month prior), so I might need to go let off some steam somewhere. This sounds like a good way to do it. :D

Hopefully I'll have the CAI and Zoomers (being delivered tomorrow) installed by then.

Brian,
I think your doing an amazing job at rewarding your customers. Thank you for allowing our guys to jump in on this. Customer appreciation day just shows your existing customers that you care... hope they return for more business.
When do you guys hear about a shop paying thousands to rent out a track for a handful of cars.. not only that but pay for food, drinks, free entry and much more???
Dont bash him for doing this for his loyal customers... join the bandwagon and go buy something before the event so you can get in on the fun!!!

Thanks for the support. We want to keep doing these to say thanks to the folks who have actually come out to Snl and had work done. I work with a lot of folks individually on porting and tunes so I can see how that might cause some confusion. I really try to do everything I can to take care of club members. I don't make tons of money doing this. In fact most months I don't make any money. I would describe what I do as brokering performance for club members. I know lots of folks in the industry and it helps me do things for club members that wouldn't normally be possible or certainly wouldn't be possible at the pricing we deliver.
I try to treat folks and their cars like I would want to be treated. Performance stuff doesn't always go right. But I try to work with things until there right.
Hopefully that's useful insights. I never try to exclude people. Regardless of there performance mods. This isn't about cars. It's about friends and family. People who come and spend money at the shop, regardless of how much, are always welcome to these events. Thanks for letting us work on your cars. We really enjoy every opportunity to help a club member enjoy better performance from their cars

Brian I think you are one hell of a person to deal with. I have never had anything but great what I would consider customer service from you. I wish that I had the cash to jump on some of the deals that you offer on here and sooner or later I will be able to. I think that you offer a great service to the club.
