Any time a track has "test & tune" that is your opportunity to go open it up and see what it will do. You need a proper helmet. Best thing is to go and hang out with DFWLX club members when they go to the track. Then you can watch and ask questions. Most tracks have one fee to enter and spectate and another fee to run on the track.

During Test & Tune you are welcome to run a stock car with regular street tires like you have. You might be able to borrow a helmet from another club member or rent one at some of the tracks.

pull out you back seat and passenger seat you will be in 10's no problem

It was my first time to run my car. My best time was 9.71 @ 75mph!! Kinda slow I guess. lol

Wasn't that slow, and it's not about slow when you race it's about consistantcy. it ran a 9.7 every time except when you had the 300 lb balast.

I did the time Jorge rode with me. It just didn't make the video. Jorge was teaching me what to do lol. He was like go around the water then back up and do burn out! Then honk horn, then stage then go on the second yellow! the crowd did go wild when I honked the horn! A lot of yeeee haaaaws!

It was funny when he honked the horn, all the guys at the starting line started hootin and hollaring. The General was consistant. All but the pass with the 300 pound ballist were 9.7's. It will be a Race Team sleeper...................hint hint

Hey does anyone know where I can get the wheels opened up to fit proper? I don't know any machine shops. And how much does it need to be opened? I know its not much just so I know what to tell those guys.

If you have a 4" electric grinder do it yourself, or a Dremel tool with a cutting bit, I used a die grinder with a cutting bit worked really well took maybe 5 min to do both...

I'm taking care of it for him. It takes me more than 5 minutes though. I use a sanding wheel or flapper that is the right size and take off a little at a time. More time consuming, but less margin for error.

hahaha today was alright good weather but the wind was a killer like it was so windy that jorge hold down my burger wrapper so i can eat my burger hahaha thx jorge. when they open i was doin awsome but then towards the end i sucked overall it was a good day

Not a bad day, DA was still over 2000 all day, until it got dark. Only problem was the track started getting cold as the sun went down and several cars including mine and Adam's were breaking loose at half track. After one of those top of 2nd gear sideways moves, it was time to call it a night. Jose ran a personal best, and Sparky was hell bent on getting into the 10's. All in all a good day.
