Well, I finally got my cutouts and I'm having em installed Wednesday. I only have one concern though, I measured the cutout opening of the 2.5" cutouts, and it measures 2.25". Do you guys think this will be a problem? They say 2.5 right on the box, are all brands like this? Can't find 2.75 cutouts around here, should I go with 3"? They are Race Ready Performance brand, and they have a lifetime warranty.
What took so long to pull the trigger was finding a shop that I could trust. Well, I finally found one. All the other ones I looked at that would do cutouts were not places that I would want cutting on my car....ie; dirty, shady, bad areas. Anyway, the shop I'm using mainly deals with Corvettes, but he's starting to branch into Mopar stuff. Everything I've read about them on the corvette forums has been 100% positive. I'll let you know how it goes after I get them installed. The place is Quality Motorsports in Lewisville off of Business 121 and Huffines. They are doing the cutouts and installing the wiring and switch pretty damn cheap. They also sell Diablos, have a dyno, and can do pretty much anything you ask. I'm not going to post a phone number though until I see first hand the job they do on my SRT8. Anyways, I'll keep you all updated. I know a few of you have been looking for a performance shop in the DFW area, hopefully QM can be the one......We'll see.

You can also check out SpeedTech. they are good suppliers and also have tuners and a dyno. We did our Dyno day with them.

I've heard great things about speedtech, I was just looking for something a little closer to my area (Frisco).
Anyway, the cutouts turned out amazing. the welding was incredible. patrick and the guys at Quality Motorsports stayed about 2 hours late just to make sure they finished the job right. patrick treated the car like it was his own and did everything exactly the way i would have wanted it. the sound is 100% better than i had imagined. i think even the guys that work there were pretty impressed, and their Z06's sound incredible. anyway, if anyone is looking for a good performance shop in the plano, frisco, carrollton, lewisville area, i highly recommend them.
Also, if any of you want to see their work first hand, i'd be happy to show you the work they did on mine.

Hey man, how do these compare with the DMH Electric Cotouts? Are there any clearance issues?

i have had 0 problems due to clearance so far. they only drop approx. 1/2 inch lower than the rest of my undercarriage. i can't really compare to the DMH's because i've never heard or seen them in person. I went with race ready performance mainly because they are out of texas and i was able to buy them in person instead of having to wait on them being mailed.

i bought the cutouts from sachse rod shop in sachse, then had quality motorsports in lewisville do the install. cutouts = $400, install was $300. the $300 might sound high, but it was definitely worth it for the amount of hours they put in. great quality work, the welding looks factory, and the switch is perfect!
