Dont waste your time or money on one of these. All it is is a few wires to a resistor. It wont do anything for you. If you want the gains, get a Predator.

Or find a used Flashpaq cheap. Believe it or not Superchips just put out updates for the 3825 unit including a much better data logging feature, fan control and a new XS tune supposedly for better mileage without sacrificing power (but I just updated mine and haven't put it on my car yet). For "lightly modded" vehicles (CAI, Exhaust but no cam or heads) the Flashpaq still provides pretty good bang for the very cheap buck ... and Diablo still can't come close to the way a Flashpaq can program the TCM for better shifting.

Just sayin' ... there are cheap alternatives out there that are proven to work. I'm running a Flashpaq with 91 octane tune and a AFE Stage 2 CAI as my only power mods and I pulled a 308.53 RWP and 356 lbs/ft of torque at our dyno-day. Not too shabby for the old '05 with 57,000 miles on it. I've been running the Flashpaq tune for over 3 years now with ZERO problems. The only time I change the setup is when I go to the track where I raise shift points, reduce torque management and use the "paddle-kick" tranny setting ...

I'm not setting the world on fire but I'm competitive out at the old 1/8th mile in Kennedale usually running about 9 seconds flat at about 80mph and still pulling like a freight train in 2nd going out the back door.

I also have averaged 19.4 mpg over the entire life of the car. The mileage got better using 91 octane but not enough to make it good retirement savings plan. But it has been worth a few cents more per tankful even with the higher price of premium and it also has been a boost to the power output.

People are still selling these units off at around $150 ... as to the chip in question in your post ... stay away from it, far away, that chip technology made a difference years ago when electronic ignitions were first introduced but right now your car has enough computer power to dim the lights at IBM and you are NOT going to fool HAL into becoming a raging beast with a few resistors. You need a sophisticated device with carefully mapped out programming changes to even get an LX's attention, and even then, they don't always do what you might expect.

Your mileage may vary ...

Well said Cad. I agree with the Superchips as a best bang for the buck. I'm looking for one again for Serena's RT. I was always happy with the performance of my SC Tuner. Never had any issues either. You can't go wrong with it.
