Ok, ever since the car show on Sunday I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on removing the side moldings. We'll if I can get some help from an experienced member (someone who has already removed theirs) I would like to attempt it during All Texas on Saturday. So who wants to help a brotha out? Tell me what supplies I may need, if any, and I'll bring them. :999:

Remove them all, and in lieu of racing stripe decals, install them on your hood/roof/decklid.

It's better if it's done in a garage. That way any imperfections can be buffed out and anything needed is in hands reach.

Took me 4 hours (being very patient) since it was my first time doing it and completely forgot to buy GooGone. Luckily my wife had some at her job which is 5 minutes away and dropped it off.

Get some citrus base cleaner to remove the glue after removing the molding. Best stuff for getting rid of the goo.....

Well it sounds like the experts have spoken. I'll be waiting a little longer to pull the trigger on this mod. I'm off the third week in June and that looks like when I'm gonna do it. That way I can take my time. Thanks guys for the input. :leb:

You can go back to harrassing Pedro now. lol

I did mine in about 15 min. Outside in the heat last summer and they came off leaving very little residue. Wouldn't it be best to do it when its hot out so the stick'em is soft. I used fishing line and a goo remover called Oops it's safe (I use it on laptops at my shop) and a Good Wax.

I used a heat gun and car polish.I used the heat gun to heat up the molding and polished out the residue.

NO shit... they wanted me as a sales man. i told them i already had a sales position that paid me about 4 to 5 times more then what they could pay me. Why the hell would i stress over sales there. i wanted to be in the back with my headphones on and stock items. theres people that do that all day. but with my background... "its not right for me to put you back there with your potential" basically i wont make him any money... i was like shit i quit. But neways.... yeah thats why i dont work there anymore
