View Full Version : Cowtown Mopars Toy Drive Car Show

The Cowtown Mopars Toy Drive and Car Show will be held at Allen Samuels Dodge in Fort Worth on Sunday December 6th, 2009.

Show will be participant judged, and awards will be given to the top ten cars.

Entry to the show is a new, unopened toy. All makes and models are welcome, not just Mopars. Clubs are welcome to participate also.

The event will start at 12 Noon, and awards will be given out by 4 pm. After that we load up all the toys we collect and convoy over the Salvation Army center to drop them off.

Cash donations are welcome for the Salvation Army also.

Invite your friends, and please pass it along to any car clubs that you know!

Also, for those that received awards at the show in December, the dealership says that the person they got the plaques from is correcting the error on the plaques.

Kevin Coder has not been told by his supplier of the plaques yet.

Cowtown is supplying the Plaques for the Toy Drive.

That is all I can tell you since it is not in my hands.

Went to Cowtown Mopar Car Show today at Allen Samuels Dodge. We were the only DFW LX member there. 14 other cars there from Cowtown Mopar. Dropped off our bag of toys and then within the hour everyone left. No awards, no chat, no anything. It turned into a kind of informal social 'within' the Cowtown Club. The President was the only one to speak to us as we were about to leave. Kind of disappointing....but at least we got to donate some toys so it wasn't all bad.

Well that stinks. I just assumed the show was canceled since it drizzled most of the morning. Unfortunately your experience sounds similar to the one we had at their last show we were invited to. We were initially told to park in the Hyundai lot instead of the Dodge lot :(. Then when they "corrected" it, we were still put on the far side of the Dodge lot. Kinda weird. I don't believe it was intentional, but it definitely lend-ed itself to giving our presence at the show an outcast kinda feel.
But like you said. At least you got to donate to the kiddos.

It was kind of weird as everyone looked at us as we drove in (had our new LED/HALOS on) and when we parked, everyone really just turned their backs and continued talking amongst themselves. We saw the truck with the toys so we dropped them off, walked around the cars and then very shortly after that, we left.

Kind of disappointing.

It was kind of weird as everyone looked at us as we drove in (had our new LED/HALOS on) and when we parked, everyone really just turned their backs and continued talking amongst themselves. Yeah me and my dad went to Allen samuels too but the cowtown people said that because of all the rain around the area, they ended up cancelling. We got there around 12:30 walked around for a bit, dropped off the toys, then ended up going to a sonic show and both of us getting trophies hah

Congrats getting the trophies. I wish someone had told us it had been canceled. We must have just got there as you left as we didn't see you.

Let me ask a question. Who bought toys & canceled due to the weather. How about a DFWLX toy run? I collect them from customers & have got a lot to donate. I need to find out when is the last day for drop off & get it done.

you can meet up with me and i will take them to the event if you cant make it bud. Just send me a pm. I will even go to you and pick them up if you cant make it (but since your are always close to me in the AM's) :) probably wont be a problem.

You'd need a truck. As of now I have 2 bikes.
